Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects each child differently—there’s a wide range in how it can impact communication, from mild challenges to more significant delays. Some children may be highly verbal, while others may communicate without words or speak very little. No matter where your child is on the spectrum, we are here to support and guide their communication growth every step of the way.

If your child isn’t meeting expected developmental milestones, it’s important to take action early. The first few years of life are a critical window for brain development, and when it comes to speech and language, early intervention can lead to faster, more lasting progress.
At Talk Time Speech Therapy, we offer early intervention services that meet your child where they are and support their growth every step of the way. As a certified Early Intervention Provider in the state of Virginia, I bring specialized training in working with infants and toddlers, using evidence-based strategies tailored to each child’s developmental stage.
We also coach and collaborate with parents, equipping you with practical tools to support your child’s communication at home. With the right support from the start, children can build the skills they need to express themselves with confidence!

Struggling to pronounce certain sounds can be frustrating—for both children and adults. Sometimes, these challenges are caused by speech sound disorders, which make it harder to produce clear, accurate speech. These disorders vary widely and can include conditions like childhood apraxia of speech, dysarthria, selective mutism, or acquired apraxia.
At Talk Time Speech Therapy, LLC, we specialize in identifying and treating these speech sound difficulties with compassionate, individualized care. We’re here to support your child every step of the journey toward clearer communication.

Some children have a hard time expressing what they want to say. Others may struggle to understand what’s being said to them. These challenges are known as expressive and receptive language disorders or delays, and they can make it difficult for a child to fully engage at home, in school, and with peers.
At Talk Time Speech Therapy, we work closely with children and families to support all aspects of language development. Whether your child is having trouble following directions, answering questions, or putting words together to share ideas, we create fun, personalized therapy plans to help them grow into confident communicators.

We provide specialized therapy for children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), using evidence-based approaches tailored to each child’s unique needs. As a PROMPT-trained therapist, I incorporate tactile-kinesthetic cues to support speech motor planning and help children produce clearer, more coordinated speech.
Therapy sessions are engaging, high in repetition, and designed to target specific motor speech goals. We focus on building a strong foundation for communication through meaningful practice, multisensory support, and close collaboration with families. Parents are actively involved and supported with strategies to carry progress into everyday life.

We proudly support children who are gestalt language processors— those who naturally learn language in “chunks” or scripts, rather than one word at a time. Many of these children may use echolalia or scripted phrases as part of their communication journey.
Our therapy approach honors this unique style of language development. We help children move from using scripts to creating their own original, spontaneous language through naturalistic, play-based sessions and meaningful interactions. Therapy is always tailored to your child’s stage of language development.
We work closely with families to help identify and validate scripts, support emotional regulation through language, and build a strong foundation for self-generated communication. Our goal is to meet your child where they are and help them move forward with joy, confidence, and connection.
